How fast can I get a Box-n-Go unit delivered so that I can start storing?

We can usually get a Box-n-Go storage unit out to you within 2 to 3 days. If you are in a situation where you need a unit delivered right away, just let us know. In most cases we are able to deliver the same or the next day, depending on the availability.

Keep in mind that our schedules fill up quickly at times. We recommend that you order or schedule your container delivery as soon as possible to lock in the desired date and time slot. That way we can hold your unit and make sure it’s available when you do need it, especially if you have a vacate or move-in deadline.

Am I protected against loss or damage while my goods are in transit?

Yes, you are covered for up to $1,200.00 for each container we move for you while the containers are in transit. Once your containers are in our warehouse, the coverage limits are $250 per container.

Am I required to purchase insurance coverage?

Purchasing an insurance to protect your belongings is your option. Box-n-Go provides a $250/unit limited contents protection coverage at no cost to you! Should you want to obtain an additional coverage with a greater coverage limits, we will be more than happy to offer you a greater protection limits coverage for a nominal monthly fee. Please keep in mind that many renter or homeowner policies allow the addition of self-storage to the insurance policy, often for very minimal cost, however with some higher levels of deductibles.

Are Box-n-Go storage containers water-proof?

Yes! When the storage container is out of our warehouse for loading or unloading and packing, each container is covered with a highly durable, heavy-duty, weather-resistant cover engineered to protect your belongings. This cover is impervious to rain but still allows the container to breathe because of its Velcro closures and strategically placed waterproof vents.

Are Box-n-Go storage units big enough to hold all my furniture and large household items?

Yes! Our units are designed to store most household items, including large items like a king size mattress, sofa, washer, dryer, refrigerators, armoires and baby-grand pianos, etc. We have received several comments from our customer who say they are amazed at how much fits inside one of our units. The maximum length or height that will fit into the container is 93″. Each unit will hold up to 2,000 lbs and we can deliver as many units to you as you wish.

Are my belongings covered while they are in storage?

Box-n-Go is not a licensed insurance agent and does not offer insurance. Box-n-Go Storage automatically provides you with a limited property protection coverage of $250 per storage unit. Additional property protection coverage limits can be obtained for an additional charge. (Please remember the contents may also be covered by your homeowner’s insurance.) This coverage is in place when your units are in our care. This coverage does not cover the units while they are on your property or if you request your units to be left outside of our warehouse.

Are the containers secure while at my location?

Absolutely! The door on each Box-n-Go unit is designed to close tightly and latch when closed in three different places. The middle latch allows for you to secure the unit with your own padlock. No employee will EVER ask for the key or combination to your lock. In addition, the units themselves are built like vaults – each weighs about 750 pounds. they are not easy to move or break into.

Just as an added safety measure we strongly recommend that while the container is at your location, please make sure to keep the door locked when you are not accessing the container.

Are there any items prohibited to be stored in the Box-n-Go storage containers?

Yes, the following are examples of items not allowed to be placed in our storage units: liquids of any kind, food or perishables, flammable or hazardous materials, weapons, illegal substances, explosive devices or any inherently dangerous or illegal materials, jewelry, precious, invaluable or irreplaceable documents or property! Should you decide to store a lawnmower, weed eater, blower or any object that holds gas and oil fluids, they must be drained prior to storage! Can Box-n-Go help me load/unload my storage container?

Although our flexible delivery/pick up scheduling allows for adequate time to load your units at your leisure, we understand that sometimes customers may require help with loading. While, Box-n-Go employees are not able to help you load/unload the containers, however, we do work with several  trusted local packing companies or individuals that can handle the task for you. These loading helpers were recommended to us by other customers who had hired them to pack their Box-n-Go containers. Just ask one of sales consultants for more information.

Can Box-n-Go place the container in the garage or carport?

Yes as long as a minimum height clearance of 8′-2″ is available. In some cases, when you prefer the unit to be placed in the carport, we are able to do so without having the forklift pass under the roof of the car port. In this case we only need about 7′-4″ of height clearance.

Can I access my Box-n-Go containers while they are in storage?

Of course! We understand that sometimes you put things in storage that you may need to access. This is why we offer a FREE warehouse access to our customers. We just ask that you provide us with a 24 hours notice before you come so that you don’t have to wait for us to retrieve your box. We’ll position your containers in a convenient and safe place either inside our warehousing facility or outside for easy and drive up access. Please note that your account must be current or you may make a payment in certified funds when you arrive. Also, only a customer or a customer’s authorized agent may access the container. At the facility, a valid photo ID is required, and, please, do not forget your keys. When you are done, we will place your storage unit back inside our secure storage warehouse.

If you want your unit(s) brought back to your house for home access, please call us to schedule the re-delivery. Fee for this service is based on your location zip code.

Can I be guaranteed of the delivery day and time that I want?

Yes, once you schedule the delivery, your Box-n-Go containers will be delivered on the day and the time slot you have scheduled for. Although we cannot guarantee an exact delivery or pick-up time, we can guarantee a certain time frame for your appointment. Our driver will give you a courtesy call when he is on his way to your location.

Can I fit multiple containers in my driveway?

Yes. Most standard driveways are built for two vehicles placed side by side or 16 to 20′ wide or so. This should allow placement of 3 to 4 Box-n-Go 5′-wide containers positioned side by side.

Can I get into my container(s) when the warehouse is closed?

If you have an urgent need to stop by our warehouse after hours, we can accommodate your request for a nominal charge, provided we have an off-duty personnel available to assist you during access.

Can I have a drop-off and pick-up on the same day?

Yes, in most cases and depending on delivery schedules, special arrangements can be made to accommodate any schedule. Should you desire the same day drop off and pick up, please schedule that with our customer care representative at the time when you are scheduling your delivery appointment? Please note that since our service is based on the first come first serve principle, same day pick up appointments may require a longer than usual advance scheduling notice. Same day delivery and pick ups are subject to additional fees.

Can we visit your Box-n-Go Storage facility to see what it looks like?

Absolutely! We’d love for you to visit our facilities. Box-n-Go takes pride in the fact that our facilities are clean, safe, and offer a secure environments for our associates and for your belongings. Please call us at 877-269-6461 and we will help you with directions.

Do containers lock?

Yes. Each door of the Box-n-Go storage container is built with three latches that can be tightly closed. The middle latch has a hasp for you to put your own padlock. For your security, we do not have or keep a copy of your keys, so please keep them in a safe place. Please note that ALL full containers must be padlocked prior to pick up and transit to storage warehouse.

Do I need to be present when my Box-n-Go containers are delivered?

Yes, your (or your authorized agent) presence is necessary so that we can place the containers exactly where you want them (it is recommended that you reserve the space desired and ensure that clearance requirements are met). Our driver will also deliver a Box-n-Go welcome package, demonstrate you the features of your containers, and have you sign the rental agreement.

If you cannot be home for the delivery, you can authorize someone else to accept the containers. Just inform your sales consultant when you place your order or contact customer service in advance of your delivery date. We will add that individual as an Authorized Agent on your account for container delivery. Please make sure to have your phone on, so that we are able to contact you.

In cases of emergency we are able to deliver the empty units without the customer presence, provided you sign the appropriate paperwork, prepay your first month and delivery fees prior to delivery. Just be sure you provide specific delivery instructions to our sales consultant. If you are unable to sign the rental agreement ahead of your delivery, all applicable paperwork will be left for you inside the container, which you will need to sign and return to us.

You do not need to be present for the pick up, unless your unit is behind the gate or the access to the unit is blocked.

Do I need to get my own lock and key?

Yes. Any padlock will work (we recommend using a minimum of 1.5″ steel padlock). Box-n-Go can sell you a  new, sealed high-security locks and keys for your storage containers. For your security, we do not have or keep a copy of your keys, so please keep them in a safe place. Of course, you are free to provide your own locks. Please note that ALL full containers must be padlocked prior to pick up and transit to storage warehouse.

Do you charge for the delivery and pickup of the Box-n-Go storage containers? If so, what does delivery fee covers?

We charge for the delivery/pick up and set up of the storage units each time you request delivery of your containers to your home from the warehouse. Each delivery/pick up fee is a flat rate fee of up to four units delivered and picked up at any one time. The delivery/pick up fee is based on your zip code. If you require more than 4 units, a delivery/pick up is available for subsequent deliveries.

For long distance moving customers the delivery fee is included in the package price.

How big are the Box-n-Go storage containers?

Each of Box-n-Go storage containers measure 5′ x 8′ on the ground and are 7’ tall outside (approximately 57″ wide X 93.5″ long x 78″ tall on the inside) with a single hinged door opening (47″ wide X 74″ high) and a heavy-duty latch system for your lock. Each container will typically accommodate an average room to a room and a half of household goods. Should you need additional space, multiple units can always be delivered.

The containers sits about 4 inches off the ground to ensure that your belongings are safe and dry should the weather choose not to cooperate during the time you are loading. Almost all household goods will fit into our containers, including a king-size bed and baby-grand piano. Most large armoires or other tall items will fit into the container if laid on their side. The maximum length or height that will fit into the container is 93″. Each unit can hold up to 2,000 lbs.

How does the Box-n-Go storage process works?

Box-n-Go storage or moving process is simple: we deliver one or several of our secure weatherproof storage units to your location. You pack at your leisure, in the comfort of your own home. When you are done packing, we’ll pick-up and store your unit(s) inside our dry and secure storage warehouse for as long as you like, days or years. How long do I have to load/unload my container(s) before you pick them up?

Take your time! Unlike truck rental with associated cost and time restraints, we want you to enjoy the incredible convenience of Box-n-Go Storage and load at your leisure. NO NEED TO RUSH! To help ease the stress of storage and moving we can leave the Box-n-Go storage container at your location for up to 5 days (depending on location and if units are placed on your property or on the street). You can keep your unit on your property, if that’s what you prefer, for as long as you like. While at your location, the container(s) will have a weatherproof cover to keep out moisture and ensure the safety of your belongings.

How many Box-n-Go containers will I need?

On average, one Box-n-Go storage container will hold up to 1½ rooms of furniture or household goods or up to 2,000 #in weight and approximately 240 cubic feet of storage space. No need to worry if you over estimate, however. With Box-n-Go storage services you no longer have to guess. With a traditional storage if you rent a certain room size and end up not using all of it, you will still be paying for it. With Box-n-Go storage service we can bring an extra container out for you. You do not pay for it unless you use it. This way you do not have to commit in advance. In fact, we usually suggest you order an extra one, just in case.

How many containers can I get at one time?

We can deliver up to 4 containers at a time; however we’re able to deliver more units if you need them.

How much clearance do I need to place a Box-n-Go Storage container near my house or apartment?

Although the unit itself is 5′ wide x 8′ long x 7′ tall, the forklift that we use for maneuvering the storage units requires a clearance of 8′ in width and 8′-2″ in height.

How much weight can each Box-n-Go storage unit hold?

The weigh capacity of the unit is 2,000 pounds. You want to make sure to evenly distribute the load through out the storage unit to prevent shifting.

How secure will my belongings be while at Box-n-Go storage warehouse?

Our storage facility offers a much higher degree of protection to your belongings than a conventional storage facility. With conventional storage methods, 90% of the break-ins that occur in their storage facilities are done by the actual tenants using the facility. Once the storage tenant signs in, they are then able to freely roam the facility and therefore, can easily cut off a storage lock without anyone every noticing.

With Box-n-Go your belongings will be stored in a large warehouse facility with a single point of entry and state of the art central station monitored around the clock security system and 24-hour video surveillance, gated entrance and high-pressure fire-suppression (sprinkler) systems. Each Box-n-Go storage unit is secured with your own lock, and you are the only person to keep a key.

During the day, the warehouse is manned and monitored by our personnel. Only authorized Box-n-Go personnel have access to the main storage facility. Customers accessing their storage containers are asked to provide identification and must sign in before proceeding to the customer-access area.

The insulated high ceiling provides for a cool and comfortable temperature for your belongings year round. Wooden containers breathe so moisture and excessive heat will not become trapped inside causing mold and mildew to grow thus providing an environmentally friendly space for your possessions. On top of it all you only pack the containers once – less handling means less lifting for you and less damage to your items.

In fact we are so confident in the safety and security of your belongings that we provide a FREE insurance coverage for your belongings, up to $1,200.00 per container.

I live in an apartment, where can you place the Box-n-Go container at my address?

Typically, when containers are delivered to an apartment/condo complex there are few placement options available:

  • street in front of the building
  • back alley or driveway
  • parking lot
  • parking garage

When the units are placed on the street, we are able to place two storage containers in place of one parked car. Our units are street legal and can be placed anywhere the car can be parked legally. Some municipalities regulate the street container placement and a permit may be required. Your sales consultant will be able to assist you with determining the regulations at your location.

When the units are located in the back alleys, parking lots or parking garages or elsewhere on the building or association property you must first obtain the permission for such placement from your building management or landlord. So please be sure you have agreed upon suitable location for the units and time our units can be there. Also bear in mind that we require a minimum clearance of 8′ in width and 8′-2″ in height.

I need more than one unit, but do not have space to place them all. Can you deliver one unit at a time?

Sure. When you are done loading your belongings, we will come back to pick up the full unit and drop off the empty one. We do offer a discounted fee for the subsequent deliveries.

Is the facility pest controlled?

Yes. We have enlisted the services of a professional pest control company to help us ensure the environment your belongings are stored in will be the very best and pest-free.

What are the containers made out of?

Box-n-Go containers are specifically designed and constructed to optimize your mobile storage experience. All containers are built exclusively for Box-n-Go and are assembled and inspected by our personnel before we deliver them. They are built out of weather resistant exterior grade plywood and dry lumber to provide a very stable, breathable and chemical free environment during the storing and transporting of your belongings. Each unit is equipped with a single hinged door opening and a heavy-duty latch system for your lock. One of the benefits of wooden containers is that they ensure moisture and excessive heat will not become trapped inside causing mold and mildew to grow. The wood frame construction allows the containers to “breathe” so that they equalize with the environment around them. When a container is stored outdoors at your house for a few days, the climate inside the container equalizes to the climate outside of it, preventing condensation. When you are finished loading the storage container, we transport it to our warehouse. At this point the climate inside the container equalizes to its indoor environment. The same process repeats itself when we return the container to your house. This keeps your goods smelling just like they did when you packed them. The storage containers that are airtight and made of steel, aluminum or fiberglass develop condensation during this process because the temperature inside the storage unit changes but the water vapor in the air has nowhere to go, potentially leading to mold and mildew. The aluminum or fiberglass doesn’t help because it doesn’t absorb water.

The process is the same as when your car develops fog on the windshield in the morning or during the rain. This condensation can damage your furniture. In addition to the above our containers are elevated 4″ off the ground. This prevents the moisture (be it rain or sprinklers) from the ground from affecting anything inside the container. When the storage container is out of our warehouse for loading or unloading and packing, each container is also covered with a highly durable, heavy-duty, weather-resistant cover engineered to protect your belongings. This cover is impervious to rain but still allows the container to breathe because of its Velcro closures and strategically placed waterproof vents.

What do I need to do to have my container re-delivered to my home or other location?

When you want to schedule your container(s) to be delivered back to you for access or move out, please allow at least 3 to 4 business days to schedule your delivery. Certain times of the year (end of July through mid September) this notice requirements may change to 7 – 10 days due to the extreme work load. Please plan ahead accordingly. Your account must be up to date in order for your delivery request to be processed.

What if I need storage too?

Not to worry our containers can be a convenient place for temporary storage between your moves. Box-n-Go has a state-of-the-art, secure, centrally located storage facility to keep your belongings safe in between homes or even for long-term storage.

What is the best way to pack my items inside the Box-n-Go storage unit?

When packing your storage unit, it is the most important to have a well thought out plan in advance. Preparation can make all the difference in utilizing your storage unit to its fullest potential. You can refer to our packing tips for some creative and professional ideas.

What is the best way to protect my belongings from damage and keep the contents from moving around while the storage container is being transported?

While our staff is always cautious while transporting belongings, the best way to protect your belongings is to pack the contents of the storage container as tightly as possible, the weight evenly distributed. Treat packing of the container just like you would a truck (after all the unit will being transported via truck to our warehouse), minus the slippery metal ramp to navigate your way up and down. Remember that your containers are only inches from the ground. Place your heavier items on the bottom and lighter items on the top. Fill in as much empty space as you can and UTILIZE PACKING SUPPLIES like shrink wrap which can help to keep items from being scratched or dented! Use strong moving boxes in uniform sizes, break down items with removable legs. Things like moving blankets and using the appropriate boxes are the single most important factors in a successful move. What is the environment like inside the Box-n-Go storage facility?

Box-n-Go storage warehouse is a high ceiling, commercial grade, insulated construction building. The insulated high ceiling provides for a cool and comfortable temperature for your belongings year round. In fact we have never seen the temperature inside the warehouse rise above 75°F even on the hottest summer days. What is the minimum/maximum length of storage?

You can store as long as you like. We require a minimum payment of one month rent (based on a month-to month rate). We can customize a moving or storage package to your needs and offer you with maximum savings by getting into a long term storage package.

What should I do if I lose my key?

Do not worry! We can help you cut your padlock. A valid Government issued photo ID matching the name on the account must be provided. This service is provided for a fee which will be added to your account.

What times do you deliver the containers? Can I schedule a specific time?

We schedule the delivery appointments for three time slots every day: 8 to 11 am, 11 am to 2 pm, 2 to 5 pm, per following schedule. Your sales consultant will help you choose the most convenient delivery time slot that is available. While we cannot guarantee or schedule a specific arrival time as we have no control over the traffic conditions and the time each stop in route may take, the driver will call you with details on his schedule and an approximate time of arrival, if you so request.

What’s the delivery process like?

The storage containers are delivered to you on a smooth riding flat-bed truck. Our professional drivers then use a forklift to unload the containers and place them in the most convenient location for you to load or unload. We deliver and pick-up Monday through Saturday from 8:30 until 5:00. You need to be present for delivery. The entire process may take as little as 10 minutes.

What’s the difference between access hours and office hours?

During access hours, you can access your storage unit(s) which were brought to access area based on your request (at least 24 hour notice is required). During office hours, your storage consultants are available to provide in-person customer service (like answering questions, selling supplies, accepting rental payments and so on).

When can I access my storage?

We are open for access Monday through Saturday (except for major holidays) and you can access your belongings during our normal warehouse business hours. Please do not forget to give us a 24 hour notice before you come.

When I rent a Box-n-Go Storage unit, can I grant access to others, such as my wife or kids?

The access is restricted to customers and persons listed on the account as authorized agents. Should you want to add a new person to the list, or remove a person previously added. Please contact our customer service at 877-269-6461 and we will assist you with your needs.

Where will my Box-n-Go storage units be stored?

Your units will be stored inside a centrally-located, secure storage warehouse facility. While at the facility, you will have a FREE ground level access to your belongings. Learn more about the facility and how the access works.

Where will my my belongings be stored and for how long?

You can store your Box-n-Go storage containers on your property or in our centrally-located, secure storage warehouse at no additional cost. You can use our units for one day or for as long as you need. Our storage facilities are secure, provide excellent protection from the elements and designed to accommodate the safe and secure storage of individual containers .You have the only key to your lock on your container.

Where will you place the Box-n-Go Storage units when you deliver them?

Box-n-Go Storage delivery equipment is designed to operate in limited access areas in order to allow placement of the units almost anywhere a car can be parked and of course most anywhere on private property for the most convenient loading/unloading, such as driveways (sloped or not), parking lots, alleys, etc. The containers fit practically anywhere the car can fit. Who keeps the key to my storage unit?

Customers keep and control the keys to their storage unit. We require locks on all storage containers. This provides an additional level of protection while the units are stored in our secure storage facility. Will the Box-n-Go container or delivery vehicle damage my property while placing my container?

Box-n-Go utilizes a specially designed all-terrain pneumatic tire fork lift to maneuver the units safely on your driveway or any paved surface. We have been able to successfully deliver and place thousands of containers without resulting in any damage. Our professional delivery drivers always take the utmost care to deliver your container in a fashion that minimizes the possibility of any damage. Unfortunately we are not able to determine the integrity or load bearing capacity of any surface. You should always check for the existing cracks and damage so that our fork lift and containers could stay away from this damaged area. Also, please note that if you choose a non-paved surface placement, there is a possibility of some yard damage, especially if the ground is wet, or the soil is loose.

Worried about access to your belongings?

With Box-n-Go Storage access to your stuff is FREE and available any time you like. Our facility is centrally located just minutes away from your residence. Just give us a 2-hour notice and we will move your container to the private access area. Your container will be sitting on the ground so that handling your stuff will be easy and simple. Of course we can always re-deliver your containers to you for a small fee so that you do not have to go anywhere.


Moving

Can Box-n-Go mobile storage be used for moving?

Of course! People do it all the time. In fact our storage containers are a great alternative to the traditional style of moving. Using our containers, you can load your personal items on your own time, at your own pace. Once loaded, we can deliver your containers to your new home, across town or cross country. Take your time loading/unloading — unlike rental trucks, there’s no need to pack, move and unpack all in the same day.

Can you ship my Box-n-Go unit to another state?

Yes. In fact we do that every single day! We can ship your units to most major metropolitan areas as well as some selected international destinations.

Do containers lock?

Yes. Each door of the Box-n-Go storage container is built with three latches that can be tightly closed. The middle latch has a hasp for you to put your own padlock. For your security, we do not have or keep a copy of your keys, so please keep them in a safe place. Please note that ALL full containers must be padlocked prior to pick up and transit to storage warehouse.

Do I need to get my own lock and key?

Yes. Any padlock will work (we recommend using a minimum of 1.5″ steel padlock). Box-n-Go can sell you a  new, sealed high-security locks and keys for your storage containers. For your security, we do not have or keep a copy of your keys, so please keep them in a safe place. Of course, you are free to provide your own locks. Please note that ALL full containers must be padlocked prior to pick up and transit to storage warehouse.

Do you charge for delivery?

Yes, the charges are based on ZIP codes or you may choose to bring your belongings to our conveniently located facility. Our delivery charge is a flat rate fee which includes the delivery and pick up of up to four storage units.

Is there a minimum I have to pay?

Yes. If you have your units delivered to you, you are liable for the delivery costs as well as one month rent based on the month to month plan rates. Not sure how many containers you will need?

Do not worry. With Box-n-Go storage services you no longer have to guess. With a conventional storage if you rent a certain room size and end up not using all of it, you will still be paying for it. With Box-n-Go storage service we can bring an extra container out for you. You do not pay for it unless you fill it up. This way you do not have to commit in advance.


Billing

Can I change the credit card used to pay for my account?

Changing your credit card for automatic payment is easy. Just call us at 877-269-6461. We will ask you to verify personal information to ensure you are the individual responsible for the account.

Can I change the date of when the rent hit my credit card?

Yes. We can add certain number of days to your current billing cycle and the subsequent billings will be performed on your new due date. The number of days added is the days between the present due date and the date you want the due date be changed to.

Can I get my storage fees billed automatically?

Of course. In fact most people do. We can set up your account for the automatic billing to a credit card of your choice. It’s simple, convenient and safe.

Can I put some of the charge on one credit card and the rest on another?

Yes. Just give us precise instructions of which cards to use and how much to charge on which card.

Can someone else pay on my behalf?

Yes, however a third party payment authorization form must be endorsed and submitted along with photo ID.

Do I need to give you notice when I move out?

When you want to schedule your container(s) to be delivered back to you for move out, please allow at least 4 to 5 business days to schedule your delivery. Certain times of the year (end of July through mid September) this notice requirements may change to 7 – 10 days due to the extreme work load. Please plan ahead accordingly. Your account must be up to date in order for the delivery request to be processed.

If you plan on picking your belongings up at the facility, we only need a 2-business hour notice.

Does Box-n-Go accept cash as a form of payment?

Yes. Our drivers can accept cash from you.

Does the credit card have to be in my name or in the same name as the order?

You must be an authorized user of the credit card. If someone else is paying for your account, a special form must be endorsed and submitted. Please call us at 877-269-6461 for more details.

How and when should I pay?

Box-n-Go moving service is provided on a flat fee basis. As such we collect a down payment of $500 when the empty containers are delivered to you and the balance is collected when your containers are in transit to the destination terminal.

Payments can be made by one of the following methods: cash, money order or cashier’s check, the American Express® Card, Discover sm Card, Visa® or MasterCard® (unless other billing arrangements have been made). Personal checks are not accepted.

How do I pay my monthly Box-n-Go bill?

Your monthly storage charges are due on your anniversary date, i.e. your original delivery date. You can choose to have the charges automatically charged to the credit/debit card of your choice or have the invoice sent to your billing/mailing address (subject to invoice mailing/processing fees). Automatic credit card payment is the best way to pay your bill, on time every month as it eliminates the need for mailing in checks and risk of the late charges.

How do I start paying for the Box-n-Go storage service?

We make payment process simple! When you make the reservation, we will collect your credit card information. You will be charged the first month’s rent, delivery charge and cost of the packing supplies, if any, on the day of the delivery after you sign your contract with us. Every month thereafter, on the same day, we will charge your account with the monthly rent.

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express debit/credit cards, cash and check.

If I cancel the order is there a cancellation fee?

As long as you cancel your order 24 hours in advance of your scheduled delivery, there is no cancellation penalties. If you change your mind and cancel your order past the above deadline, the delivery charges may apply.

If I use automatic payment, can I also receive a monthly statement?

Yes. Just let us know that this is what you prefer and we will e-mail you your statement every month. If you would like a hard copy mailed to you, we can do that as well, however, this service is subject to invoice mailing/processing fee.

Is my storage charge the same every month?

Once you sign your agreement your rate will stay the same, based on the plan you have selected and for as long as the plan you selected is in effect. We offer monthly, no cancellation penalty, flat rate storage plans for a month-to-month, 4, 6, 12 and 24 months options. The rates offered on discounted term plans will revert to a standard month-to-month rate upon the expiration of the plan, however can be renewed.

Is there a fee for accessing my containers?

Warehouse access service is provided to all Box-n-Go customers at no charge. We simply ask that the appointment time scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. If you have an urgent need to stop by our warehouse the same day or after hours, we can accommodate your request for a nominal charge, provided we have an off-duty personnel available to assist you during access.

If you are planing on emptying your storage unit, some additional fees may apply.

Is there a security deposit?

There is no security deposit for a storage unit rental. See the pricing page for details on delivery and monthly rental prices.

What do I need to do to close my account?

Simply contact us to set up the date when you will be moving out.
If you would like to schedule a delivery of your unit to your new address, tell us your delivery ZIP code, the approximate date you’d like to schedule delivery and bring your account current. We need several days notice to schedule the redelivery, so please make sure to call in advance.

What does the delivery charge cover?

We charge a flat delivery fee and pick up for each delivery of up to four of Box-n-Go storage units to your location. Please click here to see local delivery fees and service areas.

What if I am done storing mid-month do you prorate for unused days?

As long as you rented for more than one month your storage account will be pro-rated on the date of your move out.  We will credit you back whatever days you don’t use within 30 days following your move out. Accounts set up for the discounted term rates and specials will be prorated based on the terms and conditions of subject discounted and special pricing.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a full refund on all the unused items that are returned to Box-n-Go in the original packaging and in sale ready condition. The packing kits or bundles must be returned complete, no partials.

What payment options do I have?

On the day you start storing (the day of delivery) we will charge you for the delivery/pick up, first month rent and packing supplies, if you bought any. We accept cash, check, money order or credit cards (Master Card, Visa and Discover).

When is my storage rent due?

Our rental charges are due on the anniversary (original container delivery) date. We offer a convenient automatic payment option using any major debit/credit card.

When will I receive my monthly statement?

Our statements are mailed on 10 calendar days before your bill is due.

When will my Credit Card be charged each month?

If you have signed up for an automatic payment option, the credit card you have designated will be charged on your anniversary (original delivery) date each month.


Supplies

Can I purchase supplies without storage reservation?

Yes we can sell you the packing supplies and boxes that you need, however we may not be able to deliver them to you right away. Please call us at 877-269-6461 to discuss your needs and delivery/costs and availability.

Can I rent a dolly to help me load?

Yes. We can deliver a dolly to you with your container. We rent dollies for $7/day ($10 for the appliance dolly).

For your convenience we offer complimentary use of dollies at Box-n-Go warehouse facility when you are accessing your belongings.

Do you offer locks, packing materials or dollies?

Yes, we have new locks available for purchase along with a full line of boxes and packing materials. We will be happy to deliver these items at no additional charge when we deliver the storage unit to you. We even have dollies available for rent which can be delivered to you home as well. Note: our small boxes are just $1.53 each!

Does Box-n-Go sell packing supplies?

Yes. Box-n-Go offers a variety of boxes and packing supplies to help you move and protect your belongings. Please visit our packing supplies page to see what we offer. For your convenience, we can include these boxes and packing supplies when we deliver containers to your house.

How can I return unused boxes for refund?

Boxes and packing supplies can be returned in one of the following three ways:

  • Give the items to be returned to the Box-n-Go driver when your storage units are being picked up.
  • Ship the items back to Box-n-Go. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs.
  • Deliver the items to be returned to the Box-n-Go warehouse.

Auctions

How can I find out where the storage unit auctions are taking place?

You can find out through various sources where storage building auctions take place. Public storage unit auction in ca are required to post legal notices in newspapers. There are also web sites and auctioneers who all provide very limited schedules of self storage auctions. By using all these action storage sources it is possible to find out when and where all these auctions will be conducted. Contacting the different self storage companies will yield you the highest results.

How does the public storage auction work?

Be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to a scheduled storage unit auction. Before the auction storage starts, the mini storage auctions auctioneer will have a sign in sheet and a set of their company’s rules going over the terms and conditions of the storage units auctions. Most auctions are “live” or “verbal”. The sale will allow the storage facility to recoup some of their losses. Any profit over the actual amount owed on the unit is paid to the renter, but the winning bid seldom covers the past due rent. Cash is the acceptable form of payment and sales tax will be charged if the buyer cannot show a valid resale license and proper identification.  Storage locker auctions are very different then most types of auctions.  Usually you are bidding on the entire contents of a unit. Units or lots are usually viewed 1 by 1 with the viewing limited to the doorway entrance of the storage unit or container. The bidding starts after all bidders have had a viewing of the property. Bids sometimes start out as low as $1.00 and can proceed upwards with the property being sold to the highest bidder. Based on our experience average lots or units seem to sale for under $300.00. Don’t forget, the high bidder must remove all contents of the unit purchased within the time specified by the self storage facility. Facilities do not allow the use of their garbage cans or dumpsters and units are expected to be broom swept clean.

What are storage auctions?

As seen on A&E channel “Storage Wars” episodes when the renter of a self-storage unit can’t make the payments, the stuff inside goes up for grabs. What Treasures Might I Find? The short answer is, anything and everything! Antiques, collectibles, appliances, kitchenware, linens, baby furniture, sofas, chairs, dressers, dining room sets, home decor, clothing, toys, games, bicycles, motorcycles, power tools, lawn mowers, barbecue grills, hobby supplies, hunting supplies, camping gear, sports equipment, seasonal decorations, books, DVD’s and CD’s, jewelry, electronics, business inventories, patio furniture, cameras, musical instruments….There are no limits. Each storage units auction site will have a different amount of units or lots to offer for auction. These storage auctions are opened to the general public with most bidders’ buying for the purpose of reselling for profit. Storage auction is a great way to buy secondhand merchandise for pennies. If you are someone who sells at flea markets, garage sales or on e-Bay, you will probably find self storage online auctions to be one of your best sources for merchandise.

 

What can I expect to find if I buy storage units at an auction?

You really never know what you will find. Most storage shed auctions yield general household goods, furniture, electronics, clothing and personal records. Bidders do find money, jewelry, antiques and collectibles at these auctions. It is not uncommon to find someone’s whole household or business in a unit, with that in mind, you never know when you might stumble on someone’s life collection of who knows what!  Remember you are usually viewing the property from an open entrance into a storage unit or container; this means that boxes and plastics storage containers can yield anything. Some units are packed so tight that you won’t have the luxury of getting a view of the items that are behind what is blocking the entrance area.
