Loading Help for Box-n-Go Storage Containers and more
With Box-n-Go, every customer cuts their loading effort in half. Traditional self-storage and most moves with storage gaps require handling your belongings multiple times. With Box-n-Go, you load once and unload once. Still, nobody wants to do the heavy lifting. That’s why we offer three loading options through licensed loading partners: Simply Load and Pro Load are flat-rate crews for a single 8’×5′ (Flex) container, and Hourly Load is the option for larger containers, multiple containers, or non-Box-n-Go equipment. Each of the three services fits a different kind of job. Below is a quick view; full details follow.
Simply Load
Simply Load is for customers who pack and prep their own items. A licensed crew comes to your address and loads or unloads your Box-n-Go containers the way you tell them. Your items are packed, wrapped, and ready when the crew arrives for loading — they handle the heavy lifting, you handle the prep. Simply Load is priced per 8’×5′ (Flex) container, and loading and unloading are ordered independently — book labor where you want it.
Flat rate, no surprises. Stairs, elevators, multiple floors, long hallways — none of it changes the price. The flat rate is the price you pay. The most convenient, predictable way to avoid the heavy lifting.

What’s Included
- A licensed crew dispatched to your address for loading or unloading
- Priced per 8’×5′ (Flex) container — order labor for one container, two, or however many of your containers you want handled
- Loading and unloading are independent bookings — order one, the other, or both
- Stairs, elevators, multiple floors, hallways — interior access included, no upcharge for the building
- The crew loads or unloads each container you want them to handle, the way you tell them, within the container’s weight limit
What’s Not Included
- Packing of boxes (loading: your items must be in sealed boxes or otherwise ready)
- Wrapping or padding of furniture (covered by Pro Load)
- Furniture disassembly or reassembly (covered by Pro Load)
- Boxes, tape, packing materials, and moving blankets (available separately — see Supplies+)
- Transportation of the container (Box-n-Go’s standard pickup and delivery — the crew handles labor, Box-n-Go moves the container)
Pricing
Simply Load is priced as a flat rate per Flex container, charged separately for loading and for unloading. The price is locked when you book. You can order Simply Load for some of your containers and not others, and you can order labor for one end of the trip without the other. Many customers order labor for loading the containers holding the heavy furniture, and unload everything themselves at the destination. Call (877) 269-6461 for current pricing.
Extras
The flat rate covers the loading or unloading work itself, including stairs, elevators, floors, and hallways. The following are added when the situation calls for them:
- Boxes and packing materials — purchased separately through Supplies+
- Packing labor — if you’d like the crew to pack your boxes for you
- Disassembly and reassembly of furniture
- Wrapping and padding of furniture
- Moving blanket rental — $1 per blanket per month
- Long carry — $75 flat per job — applied when the crew has to carry items more than 75 feet from the container to your loading point. To avoid this, reserve parking close to your home, and if you’re in a large apartment building, reserve the elevator. In rare cases where this isn’t possible, the $75 flat is a small premium for what hourly movers would charge on the meter.
Important Things to Know
- Have everything ready before the crew arrives. Boxes sealed, fragile items wrapped, furniture disassembled if it needs to be. The crew won’t wait for items to be prepared — they load what’s ready.
- Box weight. Customer-packed boxes must not exceed 50 pounds each. Heavier boxes may be declined.
- TVs and electronics must be in their original boxes or properly crated.
- The crew can decline unsafe items — items too heavy for two people, unstably packed items, or anything that poses a safety risk — without changing the flat rate.
- Prohibited items. Loading crews will not handle firearms, ammunition, jewelry, cash, perishables, liquids, hazardous materials (paint, propane, gasoline, etc.), or items valued over $100/lb. Full list on the Service Policies page.
- Cancellation. Simply Load bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge with notice by 2 PM the business day before service. Later cancellations carry a fee.
Pro Load
Pro Load is for customers who want wrapping and furniture work handled. A licensed crew comes to your address, wraps and pads your furniture, disassembles or reassembles what needs it, and loads or unloads your Box-n-Go containers the way you tell them. You handle box packing; the crew handles everything else. Pro Load is priced per 8’×5′ (Flex) container, and loading and unloading are ordered independently.
Flat rate, no surprises. Stairs, elevators, multiple floors, long hallways — none of it changes the price. Wrapping, disassembly or reassembly, and the labor itself all included. The most convenient way to hand off the heavy work.

What’s Included

- Priced per 8’×5′ (Flex) container — order labor for one container, two, or however many of your containers you want handled
- Loading and unloading are independent bookings — order one, the other, or both. On loading, Pro Load includes disassembly. On unloading, Pro Load includes reassembly
- Furniture wrapping and padding — blankets and protective wrap on items that need it
- Stairs, elevators, multiple floors, hallways — interior access included, no upcharge for the building
- The crew loads or unloads each container you want them to handle, the way you tell them, within the container’s weight limit
What’s Not Included
- Box packing (boxes must be ready when the crew arrives for loading — the crew handles furniture, you handle boxes)
- Boxes, tape, and packing materials (available separately — see Supplies+)

Pricing
Pro Load is priced as a flat rate per Flex container, charged separately for loading and for unloading. The price is locked when you book. You can mix services across your containers and across the loading and unloading moments: Pro Load on the container holding furniture, Simply Load or self-load on the boxes-only containers, and another combination at the unloading end. Call (877) 269-6461 for current pricing.
Extras
The flat rate covers wrapping, disassembly or reassembly, and the labor itself, including stairs, elevators, floors, and hallways. The following are added when the situation calls for them:
- Boxes and packing materials — purchased separately through Supplies+
- Packing labor — if you’d like the crew to pack your boxes for you

In rare cases where this isn’t possible, the $75 flat is a small premium for what hourly movers would charge on the meter.
Important Things to Know
- For loading: box packing is on you. Boxes must be sealed, fragile items wrapped, and TVs in their original boxes or properly crated when the crew arrives. The crew handles furniture prep, not box prep.
- Box weight. Customer-packed boxes must not exceed 50 pounds each. Heavier boxes may be declined.
- Particle board and pressboard furniture (IKEA-style, engineered wood) can be loaded but won’t tolerate disassembly and reassembly well. The crew loads it as-is when possible. Damage to engineered-wood furniture during normal handling is not the crew’s responsibility.
Pro Load bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge with notice by 2 PM the business day before service. Later cancellations carry a fee.
What Our Customers Think
Hourly Load
Hourly Load is the labor option that works on anything. Any job, any need, any situation. Box-n-Go containers, rental trucks, customer trailers, large jobs, small jobs — you choose the crew size, you pay for the hours the crew works, with a 4-hour minimum.
You choose the crew size. Two movers, three, four, or more — the rate scales with the crew size, you scale to the job. The right crew for what you’re loading or unloading, not a one-size answer.

What’s Included
- A licensed moving crew dispatched to your address for loading or unloading
- Crew size of your choice — 2, 3, 4, or more movers
- Wrapping, padding, disassembly, and reassembly performed by the crew as part of the work
- Works on anything — any container size, any number of containers, any equipment, any job
What’s Not Included
- Boxes, tape, and packing materials (available separately — see Supplies+)
- Transportation of Box-n-Go containers (Box-n-Go’s standard pickup and delivery — the crew handles the labor, Box-n-Go moves the containers)
Pricing
Hourly Load is billed by the hour, with the rate set by crew size. Choose the crew size that fits the job. The 4-hour minimum applies to every booking; beyond that, you pay for the hours the crew actually works. Hourly Load covers whatever the flat rates don’t. Call (877) 269-6461 for current crew rates.
Extras
Hourly billing covers the labor, wrapping, disassembly, reassembly, and the stairs, elevators, and floors that come with the building. The following are charged separately when applicable:
- Boxes and packing materials — purchased separately through Supplies+
- Moving blanket rental — $1 per blanket per month
- Materials and protection — floor and doorway protection, shrink wrap, and similar materials are quoted at booking based on what the job needs
Important Things to Know
- Crew size choice. The booking agent can recommend a size when you describe the job.
- The hourly clock starts on arrival and runs through the work. Wrap-up, blanket-folding, and crew loading their truck for departure are part of the work and part of the hours.
- Particle board and pressboard furniture (IKEA-style, engineered wood) doesn’t tolerate handling, disassembly, or reassembly well. The crew will handle it carefully but damage during normal handling is not the carrier’s responsibility.
- Prohibited items. The carrier will not handle firearms, ammunition, jewelry, cash, perishables, liquids, hazardous materials (paint, propane, gasoline, etc.), articles of extraordinary value (over $100/lb), or items the shipper hasn’t disclosed. Full list on the Service Policies page.
- Cancellation. Hourly Load bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge with notice by one business day before service. Cancellations on shorter notice carry a 4-hour minimum cancellation fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which option is right for me?
If you’re using one or several Flex containers and your situation fits a flat rate, Simply Load or Pro Load is the simple answer — Simply Load if you’ll pack and prep your own items, Pro Load if you want wrapping and furniture disassembly handled. Hourly Load is for jobs that don’t fit the flat rates — larger containers, multiple containers on the same job, non-Box-n-Go equipment, or anything unusual. If you’re not sure, call (877) 269-6461 and we’ll talk through it with you.
Can I use loading help on some containers but not others?
Yes. Simply Load and Pro Load are priced per Flex container, so you decide which containers get labor and which don’t. A common pattern is to order labor for the container holding heavy furniture and handle the lighter containers yourself.
Can I order Pro Load for loading and Simply Load for unloading?
Yes. Loading and unloading are independent bookings. You can order any combination across the two ends of the trip — Pro Load on loading and Simply Load on unloading, Pro Load on loading and no labor at all on unloading, or any other mix that fits each end.
Can Box-n-Go help load a U-Haul or other rental truck?
Yes. Hourly Load works on any equipment — Box-n-Go containers, rental trucks, customer trailers, anything you need loaded or unloaded.
What do I need to do before the crew arrives?
For Simply Load, your items need to be packed, wrapped, and ready to load when the crew arrives — boxes sealed, fragile items wrapped, furniture disassembled if it needs to be. The crew loads what’s ready and won’t wait for items to be prepared. For Pro Load, your boxes still need to be packed and sealed, but the crew handles wrapping and furniture disassembly. For Hourly Load, the crew can handle prep as part of the hourly work — the more prep you do yourself, the fewer hours you pay for.

Other Situations
If your situation doesn’t fit the three options above — restoration project loading, a large multi-container job, a Box-n-Go container paired with a rental truck on the same day, business storage rotations, or anything else worth talking through — call (877) 269-6461. We’ll listen to what you need and put the right crew on the job. If you’re still sizing the job before booking labor, the storage calculator and Supplies+ help figure out container count and packing materials before the crew arrives. Box-n-Go serves Los Angeles, Orange County, and parts of Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties from our centrally located warehouse.
